Visitors are coming...

Reminds me of a song that goes something like this:
The animals visitors are coming two by two...

We'll have some maternal parents, followed by some spiritual parents, concluding with some paternal parents:)
In case that is still too confusing, there are three pairs of mixed gender parties, coming on different days...

Suffice it to say, we all are looking forward to the visits and the fun times of reconnecting in the next several weeks. Blessings to you and your parents (of all varieties).

I love this picture!

I laugh, and literally cry, every time I look at this picture. Seriously, I am laughing out loud and wiping tears from my eyes right now, as I type this! There I go, laughing again, and again...

Everybody is home now

Suzanne and Gloria came home on Sunday afternoon. They are both doing great, and I love having them here at home!
Some of you desire more details, so I wanted to share some Doctor fun. Those who prefer less detail, well you know how to go somewhere else. So, having a vbac meant we were Doctoring about an hour away. Here is the run down of how we met all 4 doctors at the clinic and the mid-wife:
Dr. 1 - our chosen doctor revealed to us that she is expecting a couple days after us. She delivered a week earlier than we do, so she is no longer available.
Dr. 2 - we met him 2 days before birth, however he was gone for the weekend starting on Friday.
Dr. 3 - never met him (Suzanne did a day after birth) was on call for the weekend, but evidently the weekend doesn't start till Saturday, unless your gone for the weekend.
Dr. 4 - doesn't do vbacs, and he's the only doctor available as we drive to delivery.
Midwife 1 - met her at the clinic just before going to the hospital, she worked with us expecting Gloria to come in an hour or so. Well, lots of work Suzanne's part but no progress on Gloria's part, and it became clear that Gloria wasn't coming out the expected way.
Back to Dr. 4 - we met him in the O.R. just before we met Gloria.
Nice to know them all now:) But really nice to know Gloria!

Any day now...

Waiting. By Monday we should be celebrating a beautiful little bundle of energy. As one of the childrens songs says, "first they had to wait..."
And so we wait. Patiently.
